When I first heard about the terrorist attack, I was frightened. I felt this way because I thought they were going to take control or our country. I also felt sorry for the families of hte people who were taken hostage.

I felt that they were going to take over our country because of their religious beliefs. They feel that if they execute someone in protection of the own religion, they have done a good deed. If they are executed in the line of duty, they will be rewarded with entrance to heaven.

I felt sorry for the families of the victims because they lost loved ones who were innocent. Now, after all this rage, the children of the victims have to live with the fact that their parents were killed by people who had careless hearts.

I think that our country shouldn't go to war because more of our innocent United States troops would be putting their lives at risk, as well as our fellow citizens. The punishment should be so harsh that people will realize that it's not worth taking the lives of innocent people.

I have witnessed a traumatizing event. I think this will open the eyes of the American people, bringing to their realization that we are all created equal. We as Americans should come together in peace to set a good example for the next generation.

Now I can say that I have witnessed history.

--Dimario W.
